 A book tour is always an interesting experience and this month saw the launch of my new novel, UNIVERSITY SECRETS.

 As always Steph and her team at Waterstones Milton Keynes provided the perfect launch event on Thursday 4th September. It was good to meet up with my readers once again and dedicate many books.

 A huge event followed in Waterstones York on Saturday 6th September. My novels are set in York and the surrounding villages so there is always a large crowd in this wonderful city.

Last week I was in Waterstones Alton, my local bookshop, and enjoyed an evening event for a change. It was the suggestion of store manager, Fiona, and it turned out to be a successful event. Following a talk, a reading and an entertaining Q&A, I signed many books and met some new readers.

I was able to relate some highlights of the recent Penguin 90th Anniversary gathering in the Design Centre in London where the organisation was superb and the venue perfect. It was good to meet up with other authors and the first I met on arrival was Michael Cordy, the thriller writer, and we discussed his latest novel, the international best seller, Manhattan Down. It was also fun to spot the various luminaries including Stephen Fry, Clare Balding and Michael Morpurgo. I also enjoyed a brief word with Lee Child, author of the Jack Reacher novels. So it turned out to be a very special evening.
